(Workshop D)

This workshop will cover the development of an investment policy for Community Foundations, and explore issues such as how best to balance investment risk, what types of benchmarks and monitoring of performance works and also explore the benefits of particular investment methods and philosophy. The session will assume a base level of knowledge about investment and the need for an investment policy.  The session will also encourage questions and interaction from attendees.

FRRR Donation Accounts with Sophie Burke
(Workshop E)

FRRR supports the fundraising efforts of local communities by facilitating the receipt of tax deductible donations for projects that benefit rural, regional and remote communities via Donation Accounts. FRRR's special Deductible Gift Recipient status enables distribution from Donation Accounts to non-DGR or Income Tax Exempt organisations which may be valuable for Community Foundations operating in catchments with few or no DGRs. Sophie will explore how Donation accounts can be used to fundraise for a wide range of projects or programs.
